The Great Island Fiddlers are an award-winning group of musicians from Cobh, Ireland aged between 13 and 19 years. Under the direction of Ciaran Deloughry, they have an ever-increasing repertoire of traditional Irish dance tunes. They also enjoy playing the fiddle music of Scotland, Newfoundland, Cape Breton and particularly the polkas and slides from nearby Sliabh Luachra. They are frequently sought after for festivals, civic and school events and private functions. They have performed in Newfoundland, Canada in 2004 and in Poland in 2005. All members of the group are accomplished classical musicians.
